Lad trip! Seville and Portugal

Two instances have stood out as bringing the reality of my pending fatherhood rushing out of the shadows.

The first was when we received a surprise gift in the post from my aunt. Holding up the little yellow and green one-piece pajama thingy (I'm sure I'll learn the lingo soon) with frog heads for feet (not real, because that would be pretty sick), I thought, "holy $hit! There's gonna be a baby filling this soon."

The second instance was this past Friday. I had a conversation with a co-worker that went something like:
"Hey Nate, fancy a pint or two after work?"

To which I replied: "Thanks, but I have to go pick up a crib and high chair from some friends who are moving back to the States."

Wow.

In fierce defiance of my pending reality, Jason stopped by Europe for a proper lad trip, as they call such things over here.

We took a week to explore Seville Spain and put in a good 4-5 days surfing the SW tip of Portugal.

Despite some persistent Spanish rain and Jason's persistent cold, we had a fantastic time.

Jason fired up for a night on the town in Lagos

With our surf guide, Jez. Possibly the coolest man on earth.

Sigh. I want to go back.
