Mom-to-be news and summer update

Now, just because we have a baby due in 4 days doesn't mean we've stopped exploring - so I don't have much excuse for not putting up some quick notes on what's been happening for the last couple of months. We have slowed down though, that's for sure. Anya's mom is now in town to help us out when "B day" hits and is having fun exploring all the places she teaches her students about in English class back in Ukraine. Anya is glowing and beautiful and doing really well with having a 20 lb beach ball attached her stomach.

Although I'm no longer allowed to travel too far from London, I was able to slide in an amazing day surfing on England's east coast - not normally a place for sure. I made the trip with a couple of fellow London Surf Club members who I'd never met. At least that's what I thought! It turns out I overlapped with one of the guys at Haas/Berkeley 1 year and I'd been to his house for a Superbowl party! Small world.

Long peeling waves and a sunny day...on the east coast!

Although we've slowed down a touch, we're still exploring our surroundings. Google has added another office to the mix and my desk is now located in Covent Garden - a very cool neighborhood right in the center of the action in London. From where I sit I have views of the London Eye, parliament and Big Ben (though technically B. Ben is the bell and not the tower...whatever).

Also, thanks to my wonderful business partners at Hertz, I was invited to Wimbledon where I watched some great tennis and kicked it with Wills and Kate over a frosty glass of Pimm's. Pip pip, cheerio!
Black Eyed Peas, Rod Stewart, Kings of Leon...good times!
We managed to fit in a couple of summer festival concerts at Hyde Park and even survived the riots! Now I just need the T-shirt. In case you were concerned, we were never in danger. You'll also be pleased to know that the U.S. isn't the only place with morons looking for free stuff.

I hope this post finds everyone well and happy and enjoying their summers (crap weather or no! It's all in the mindset). I imagine my next post will bear baby news, so keep us in your thoughts and think "healthy baby and happy mom!"
