Goodbye summer, hello fall

Fall has finally come to London. I've just finished taping up the edges of the single-pane windows in our very expensive apartment in order to keep the cold air out. I also recently picked up a pair of waterproof  over trousers (can't say "pants", remember?) to wear on the daily bike commute to work. I'm determined to last out the winter.

As we've hunkered down the past few weekends and daily London life starts to feel more and more normal, the blog writing has slowed. I've been to Dublin a bit for work and tomorrow Anya will join me for another trip to the green isle. I also have Munich and Edinburgh on the books for work this quarter and plan to have Anya along and extend them a day or two. Also in a week and half's time, my dad and stepmom, Denise are coming out to see us; we're heading to France to celebrate Anya's 30th in style.

For now, I'm heading out to run. I'm training for the Grim Challenge. For some reason, a few months ago I thought it sounded like a good idea to run an 8 mile foot race that's set on an army vehicle test course...in early December.

I love Santa coming on the scene at :55 in the video!

Go Ducks! Currently #3 in the nation!
