We kept up the the weekend warrior marathon and visited the famous Cliffs of Dover on Saturday. Lucky for us, our friends Fred and Clare are here for a year and have a sweet company car (Black and tinted Audi A6, for those that care). The four of us drove the ~2 hrs from London to hike along the cliffs.
The cliffs are famous for being a dramatic white, but also for being the first or last of the UK that people would see when any travel to continental Europe meant a boat was involved. This is the shortest place between the UK and the rest of Europe (20 miles) and we could clearly see the shores of France during our walk.

Hard to see the face, but that's me. |
Apparently the cliffs have a network of tunnels dug into them that lead to/from the castle. Anya and I had some "cliffhanger" action and got up into one of the tunnel entrances.
...and here's Anya. |

Finally, I'd be remiss I didn't mention Eric Johnson's very bad-ass guitar instrumental of the same name. Winner of a Grammy in 1990 and no-doubt studied intensely by Jimmy Hunt while playing Guitar Hero III.

Nice! And for the record I look cooler playing it on a plastic guitar in my living room for my wife and pets ;)
